SUMMER TRAIN TO PLAY

What is Train-To-Play?

Real Coaches - Real Training

Train-To-Play is an athletic development program for young athletes, designed and implemented by coaches with extensive experience at all levels of competitive sports. This program will develop the physical and mental characteristics essential to achieving your athletic goals: speed, agility, quickness, power, acceleration, balance, stamina, durability and the mental focus and confidence required of a complete athlete.

You will learn sport-specific and athlete-appropriate training progressions that can be applied year-round, regardless of venue and equipment limitations. And in the process, you will become athletically adaptable, not simply adapted—the best way to survive and thrive in the pursuit of competitive success. Register for Summer 2011 Now!

Whatever your athletic goals, be an athlete, first, and let superior athleticism assist and sustain you as you strive to become a champion.

Better athletes win; so don’t just play to train . . . train to play!

This year’s Train-To-Play summer program will, again, offer options for speed and functional strength development. Athletes can choose either program, or the combined program option. The programs will
run consecutively to maximize training while minimizing the time commitment.

The Speed Development option will focus on straight-ahead acceleration, transition and top-end speed, as well as multidimensional speed and agility. The strength program will be aimed at creating fully-functional movement skill and connected (toes-to-fingers) strength.

A note on the Functional Strength Development option:
While improved speed is always a top-priority training goal, it is important to remember that speed is built on a solid foundation of functional strength. Often young, still-growing athletes find themselves struggling through the awkwardness of a growth-spurt here their length has outpaced their strength. Performance naturally suffers during rapid growth phases which can be both frustrating and potentially dangerous because bodies are at greater risk for injury when the strength-to-length ratio is out of balance. If you must choose between the Speed and Strength development programs this summer, please call us and let us help you make the best possible choice for your individual situation. It may be that the best plan for improving your speed will be to improve your strength, first.

TIMES:

Speed and Conditioning: 8:45-9:45AM
Functional Strength Development: 10:00-11:00AM

PROGRAM FEES:

Speed Development & Conditioning $295 (15 sessions)
Functional Strength Development $295 (15 sessions)
Combined Speed & Strength $445 (30 sessions)

PLEASE NOTE:  We can pro-rate all programs to accommodate planned absences; but we cannot refund portions of fees for unplanned absences. As in the past, we can work out payment plans to fit tight budgets. Just give us a call and we will set up a plan.
