TRAIN TO PLAY EQUIPMENT

“Simplicity yields complexity.”

- Vern Gambetta

When we Train-To-Play, we use simple, versatile equipment to achieve complex training results.  The human body is the “high-tech” part of our training equation and we create infinitely variable, movement puzzles for it to solve using medicine-balls; elastic cables; dumbbells; hurdles; cones; ABC Ladders; jump-ropes; mini-bands and—best of all—nothing but gravity, inertia and the unlimited potential of the body to move and stabilize in all three of the available planes of motion at all times.

Training tools and toys can enhance movement and accelerate the body’s adaptation to ever higher performance levels, and they can also keep the training stimulus fresh and compelling.   Simple tools also tend to be both portable and affordable, and this means that the methods you learn at Train-To-Play will enable you to achieve training independence rather than dependence because you will learn how to train in all situations and venues using whatever tools you have available—even if that means nothing but a short, grassy hill or an empty hallway.

By following this link, you can view much of the equipment we believe in and use to train athletes to move better.

The equipment may be simple; but the knowledge behind its use is the result of many years of training experience with athletes at all levels of competition.  We match training tools and demands to individual bodies to create athlete-appropriate, sport-specific training programs.

Smart-Cart Training System includes: Smart-Hurdles sized small, medium and adjustable heights, ABC Ladder, Medicine balls, core trainers and jump ropes. Using a timed rotational circuit, effectively train as many as 60 athletes in only one hour.
